Thank You Truck Drivers!

A toddler is safe, and his father is in police custody, after a statewide Amber Alert.

The alert was canceled late Wednesday afternoon, when a few quick-thinking truck drivers spotted the pair on Interstate 24.

It started in Houston County, where authorities say 23-year-old Austin Whitehead got into an argument with his wife that turned physical.

Then he took their two-year-old son, traveling more than 150 miles, before being stopped in Marion County.

Update on The Golden Voice

Remember the Golden voiced homeless man, Ted Williams?

He was the guy featured in a video that went viral. He got invited on the Today Show and then Kraft gave him a job doing voiceovers for their macaroni and cheese.

Then we found out about his very strained relationship with his 7 children and his mother; he fell back into the drugs and alcohol, went to rehab twice, and it looked like Ted was just not going to be able to beat his demons...

 

So we did a little research and found out some NEW news on Ted.. and it’s GOOD news!

"Who Ate My Lunch?!"

My brother told me a story last night that just shocked me! It made me wonder how often this happens at the workplace, because you know it does!

He is a delivery guy for Exide Battery. He loads up the batteries into his truck and then heads out and delivers to their retailers. And he is up EARLY, and many times he does not get back until 9 or so at night.

Forgiveness

When we read this story yesterday the first people we thought about were Gary and Deena Christian (Channon Christian’s Parents) and Hugh and Mary Newsome  (Chris Newsome’s parents).

 

This is the story:  Ann Grosmaire and Conor McBride were high school sweethearts.  They had dated for several years and were top students, so their families knew each other fairly well too.

So Hot They Needed A New Color

Here we are, warming up as we head through the week... but it’s so hot in Australia that they had to add new colors to the weather map!

The color added: deep purple!  And it stands for 129.2 F 

It’s a brand new shad that the Australian bureau of meterology was forced to add to it’s heat index because it’s soooo hot down under.

Their previous record high was 50.7°C  (123°F), recorded in 1960 at Oodnadatta Airport in the southern part of Australia — very close to where the new shades of hot are showed up yesterday.

Theater Angers Victims

THE UNWANTED INVITE

 

This is just sad and a little surprising.

 

The shooter in the movie theater killings was in court yesterday, but there was some other news over the holidays that really upset the victims.

 

It’s been 6 months since the shooting inside an Aurora, Colo. movie theater, the families of victims say they have not received condolences from the owner, Cinemark.

 

Personally, I was kind of shocked, especially since it’s been 6 months.

Garrett had a dentist appointment yesterday. So while he was in the chair, I was talking with another mom about Actors or actresses that you just love on the big screen and how sometimes it doesn’t even matter what the movie is, you just wanna see it because they are in it.

Hers were Jason Segel (wrote and starred in Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Steve Carell;  and female, Meryl Streep

Neighborhood Dog Is Barking Up A Storm

Brad has a friend who is tired of his neighbor letting the dogs out!

 

Here’s the deal:

His not so nice neighbor has 2 large dogs that stay outside all the time. His friend has tried several times to ask the dogs owner to please control the dogs or bring them in since they bark all night long.

After 6 months the neighbor has refused to do anything and he finally called Knox Co. animal control and they have been no help.

He can’t take it anymore!
