Ban on smoking
I have to say... I think I see a lot less smoking these days an in the past but I just can't agree with what has been passed in Spring Hill.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen got together Monday night an approved an ordinance on a 5 to 3 vote... so maybe some people agree with the "rights" aspect of this like I do.
If you are caught smoking in a Spring Hill Park..youre gonna pay the fine! $138.75!
Imagine, you go to the doctor and you hear the words you have cancer.
And for 99% of people, finding out your doctors were wrong and you AREN'T going to die from terminal lung cancer is fantastic news.
This guy is the other 1%. Back in May of 2010, a 69-year-old guy named Frank from Wairoa, New Zealand was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and told he only had a few months to live.
So he and his 65-year-old wife Wilma decided they had, quote, "nothing to lose" and dove into their bucket list.
It has been amazing to watch the news stories the last couple of months. The story of Kelly Groves and her two children and how her BMW was rearended and pushed over the side of a bridge. Hanging and dangling over the drop below that was over 100 feet, many of us remember seeing her in that vehicle crying to get her children to safety; but a Navy SeeBees Construction crew was passing by and they had a heavy duty fork lift with them and they were able to go into action and lift the vehicle to safety.
BYE BYE BIG DRINK
Here we go again- CHOICE Is being tested! It started in New York City and now The mayor of Cambridge has proposed limiting the size of soda and sugar-sweetened beverages sold in city restaurants.
Monday, Mayor Henrietta Davis asked the city’s health officials to make the size recommendation at the city council proceedings citing an increased risk of obesity and diabetes as reasoning behind the resolution.
She said her proposal was inspired by a similar measure in New York City.
WHO ARE YOU
This is just completely funny.
Some researchers must be between research studies and decided to see who you are when it comes to politics.
Are you ready for some completely unscientific survey, a new study finds that if you love BMWs, Dunkin' Donuts, and Subway, you just might be a Republican. Democrats, meanwhile, prefer Jeeps, Starbucks, and Wendy's.
Researchers clocked the reactions of four thousand people to various brands, and found a divide between left and right.
This story is gonna raise some eyebrows and even, perhaps, give some folks some ideas...
We all know there are bullies. And we often don't know what to do about them.
A school district in suburban San Antonio, Texas, has dismissed one kindergarten teacher and suspended another for an unusual plan to fight bullying.
If you’re a fan of the TV show Househunters on HGTV you may be in for a let down.

DAREDEVIL TRIES IT AGAIN
Did you happen to catch Nik Walenda walk across Niagara Falls Friday night. Pretty exciting stuff. Some say no big deal, he wore a harness!
Now get ready for another big stunt.
The guy who rode 235 miles in a lawn chair tethered to a bouquet of balloons has announced he will ride again, but this time he’ll be joined by a co-pilot.
Kent Couch and an Iraqi adventurer Fareed plan to take off from Couch’s gas station in Bend, Ore., on July 14th.
HOW BIG ARE WE?
This is crazy! According to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the increasing level of fatness in the world is as bad as an extra billion people. The researchers calculate the weight of the global population at 287 million tons!
But we could all change that if we ate a healthy meal.
Researchers have put together what some are calling the “healthiest meal.” It was four years in the making, and designed by scientists looking for combinations that would provide the most nutritional value.
