The prosecution rested its case and the defense started its testimony on
Friday afternoon in the trial of a Middle Tennessee man accused of
hitting and killing three people while driving drunk, including an
unborn child last spring.
A single-vehicle crash killed one person and injured two others,
including a child, on Thursday shortly before 10:30 p.m. in Wartburg on
Leonard Williams Road.

The city of Madisonville was the hardest hit. Monroe County dispatchers say as of 10:00 a.m., two streets remained covered with downed trees and power lines; there have been no reported injuries.
