An East Tennessee man had only about a two percent chance of ever having his criminal record wiped clean, even though he committed what would now be considered a petty crime 50 years ago.
The Central High students are calling for a statewide character
development program in all Tennessee public schools. They drafted a
resolution with the help of their history teacher, who is a Vietnam
veteran.
Tennessee clergy are urging lawmakers and the governor to accept $1.4 billion in
Medicaid money to help provide health care and other services for the
uninsured.

competitive handgun teams in the U.S., with the next one soon to be at
William Blount and Heritage High Schools.
