A convicted killer was armed and on the run Friday night just hours
after police said he shot his girlfriend and her three teenage daughters
after an argument at a Madison apartment complex.
The sheriff's office says a drug task force initiated an investigation
after a tip the suspects were attempting to buy pseudoephedrine and
other meth-making materials at local businesses.
With less than seven months until President Barack Obama's health-care
reforms take full effect, Tennessee Republicans in Congress contend
steep premium increases, job losses and denial of access to needed care
lie in wait for constituents.
