Knoxville Wholesale Furniture announced Monday that it will close its
Parkside Drive location in West Knoxville and move up the road into the
former Fowler's Furniture store on North Peters Road.
A grand jury indicted James Wylie, 54, on one count of criminal
homicide, one count of kidnapping and one count of leaving the scene of a
death or personal injury.
Last May, a Knoxville woman picked up a 10-foot U-Haul truck and packed
it with everything she owned. She was planning a move to Nashville,
where the 31-year-old had landed a job as a school teacher.
An Alabama firm has filed suit
against Pilot Flying J in the wake of a federal investigation into
charges that the travel center chain cheated truckers out of promised
rebates.
